The Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IDSAI) has recently hosted a two-day workshop at the University for Exeter to explore how machine learning can help get the most out of Remote Sensing observations, as a way of supporting the Environment Intelligence Network. Among other things, the workshop aimed at facilitating the share of scientific discoveries and methods, the exploration of emerging applications and new opportunities for remote sensing and machine learning, and the fostering of new collaborations and network-building.
PRIMUS member Bror Jonsson (PML) was one of the participants in the workshop, with a presentation titled: "Expanding Random Forest Regression models of satellite-derived observations to resolve depth" which included PRIMUS-supported research.
